Kirchgemeindehaus Neumünster, Zürich

About the show

Christopher J. Johnson is an Australian director and actor; his original play „Dogs“ („Kerovi“) has been staged on many stages around the world. The text's peculiarity is that it is, perhaps for the first time, a set of monologues written for fourteen different dog breeds. Every canine character reflects a characterisation of the human being. „Dogs“ is a singular blend of tragedy, humour, sharpness, tenderness and romance. These canine stories are bound to move you: they will make you cry, laugh, and wonder — what kind of „people“ are we? Through brilliant transformations and precise play, the two actors deliver first-rate entertainment while posing the eternal question: can we be better human beings?
