About the show
Srđan Dragojević new film is about divine miracles — a strange and provocative dark comedy about the challenges of Christianity in the 21st century, and about how real, authentic miracles sent down from the heavens only confuse modern people, often achieving the opposite of what was intended. The film weaves three stories, each about a medieval-style miracle happening to the heroes of a post-communist country that, after half a century of atheism, is learning about Christianity again. Croatian actor Goran Navojec leads the cast, while the rich ensemble world Dragojević films are known for is here steeped in superstition and misunderstanding of the tenets of faith — a mix that tips over into the tragicomic. Heavens follows the comic and tragic turns in the lives of six characters across three periods: 1993, 2001, and 2026.

Tickets are sold online via each event's page and, for some programmes, at the door before the show. HELSE members receive discounts on selected events.
Membership is open to anyone who wants to support the association. The annual fee is CHF 70, with reduced rates for students and pensioners.
