About the show
Father is based on the true story of a man from Kragujevac whose children are taken from him because of poverty. His desperate wife walks up to the factory with two small children and threatens to set herself on fire unless her husband unpaid wages and severance are settled. Following the father — an ordinary man who takes matters into his own hands and walks on foot to the authorities in Belgrade to reclaim his children — Golubović builds a quiet, devastating story of dignity and resistance to the slow violence of the system.

Tickets are sold online via each event's page and, for some programmes, at the door before the show. HELSE members receive discounts on selected events.
Membership is open to anyone who wants to support the association. The annual fee is CHF 70, with reduced rates for students and pensioners.
