About the show
The review presents four contemporary Serbian films. Do Not Bet on the English follows three Belgrade friends whose betting habit tips into personal drama. Heroes brings the return of a warrior after the 1389 Battle of Kosovo. The award-winning Spring Song follows Petra through catharsis and release. After Winter opens questions of friendship and the turning points of life. Each film was accompanied, where possible, by a talk or Q&A with the authors, hosted in partnership with the local art-house cinema.

Our programme is diverse: theatre performances, film screenings, stand-up comedy, concerts, readings, seminars and children's workshops.

Tickets are sold online via each event's page and, for some programmes, at the door before the show. HELSE members receive discounts on selected events.
Membership is open to anyone who wants to support the association. The annual fee is CHF 70, with reduced rates for students and pensioners.
